Halff Project Named NCTCOG CLIDE Award Winner
LEWSIVILLE, Texas — Halff’s Lewisville Business 121 Corridor Plan was selected as a 2025 Celebrating Leadership in Development Excellence (CLIDE) Award winner in the Planning & Public Policy category by the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG).
The CLIDE Awards Program, created in 2003, encourages innovative development projects and practices that will help accommodate expected growth in North Texas and ensure a sustainable region for generations to come. The awards program recognizes private and public development programs and projects that exemplify NCTCOG’s Principles of Development Excellence.
The Lewisville Business 121 Corridor Plan seeks to improve mobility, quality of place and economic development along the TxDOT corridor. The project encompassed a corridor study conducted by Halff for Business 121, an 8-mile thoroughfare owned and operated by TxDOT. Public town halls, surveys and focus groups offered multiple opportunities for public and stakeholder engagement.
The comprehensive plan is a result of the city leadership’s desire to improve traffic flow, vehicle access management, pedestrian and cyclist safety, and intersection designs of the corridor for all roadway users.
